Cold Perm for Asian Hair

Cold perm (also called alkaline perm) uses chemical solution at room temperature to break and reform the hair's disulfide bonds, creating a new curl pattern. Unlike digital (hot) perm, cold perm's curls are most defined when wet and relax slightly when dry — which produces a more casual, lived-in texture rather than the dramatic defined curls of a hot perm.
